Feel Good Friday: "Mission: VetCheck" - Checking in in Our Veterans

Source: thrivenyc.cityofnewyork.us

For today’s edition of “Feel Good Friday”, we would like to share a collaboration between the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services, the Mayor’s Office of ThriveNYC, and veteran-serving organizations, called Mission: VetCheck. These calls provide veterans with information about how to access vital public services, including free meals, COVID-19 test sites locations, and mental health resources.

VetCheck is available to veterans across New York City. If you are a veteran, or if you know a veteran whom you would like us to reach out to, Visit https://thrivenyc.cityofnewyork.us/mission-vetcheck and fill out the form to request a supportive check-in call from a trained volunteer. You can submit the form as many times as you would like.

Let’s help our veterans and make sure they know they’re not forgotten. Make a difference to yourself and our heroes in uniform and feel good on this Friday. Stay safe!

At Every Wheel Carry, we want to highlight stories that inspire and motivate us to unite and mobilize for our community. From our healthcare workers are fighting the good fight on the front lines, to essential workers keeping our infrastructure going. All while our men and women in uniform provide vital assistance. If you have a story you would like for us to consider sharing, send us an email at kevin@everywheelcarry.com and we’ll give you credit if we select yours!
